Simon Grossmann and his band took to the stage as the sun was setting. The golden glow spread over the band and they poured out good vibes onto the growing crowd at the Mana Convention Center in Wynwood.
With the stage already warmed up, Rawayana made the very receptive crowd dance from their first tune. As the sweet sounds filled the air and day turned to night there was a feeling of elation that this event would be monumental.
Los Cafres knew how to meet the crowd’s expectations bringing some heavy roots reggae to the night. Even after some technical problems with the sound, they delivered a fantastic set full of good energy.
Closing the night, Cultura Profetica was the most awaited band of the fest and expectations were high. The performance was impeccable as they played songs from the new album as well favorites from the past. Members of Rawayana joined the headliners for some collaborations which the crowd loved and didn’t want the concert to end.
Overall it was a great night and all the bands delivered their best and gave it their all on the stage. The organization of the event felt clean and seamless. The people were lucky to have their favorite bands from their home countries come visit the Magic City. It felt like a beautiful multicultural party with one common sound: Reggae.
