People have always said one you bring a kid into the world it will change your life. I never wanted to believe it, but can attest this is true, I have a budding toddler. We still do our best to maintain our pre-kid interests and try to expose her to new experiences all the time. This past Thursday evening we went straight to the Ice Palace Studios for NADA Miami for the opening night and her first conscious Art Week experience.
Even at this early age our child loves to attend art events and is smitten with works featuring doggies and kitties. However her threshold for sitting in a stroller and withholding from touching sculptures and other objects is limited.
We have always enjoyed the programming at NADA and the only difference this year is the way we had to rush through to keep the little one from exploding. Once again the outside tent and garden area are a perfect location to enjoy a break in between fairs or to contemplate that art purchase.
Please do take advantage to see some great work also talk with the friendly exhibitors to get the backstory on the artists’ work and thought process. This fair has something special for everyone, so if you can’t get a babysitter, bring the kids. Here is a smattering of some more highlights from the day.
