Living in Miami we are blessed to have quality art and entertainment events occurring nightly; this past Saturday was one of those nights with multiple great options. Fortunately the three events that interested me were within a close proximity to each other, which enabled thorough enjoyment of them all.
Locust Projects hosted a triple opening: Larval Acceleration, a performance collaboration between Israeli based couple, Rotem Tamir and Omri Zin utilizing two different “game boards” to accomplish 2 separate processes simultaneously in the same space.
Kelly Breez presented Fake News, a slightly satirical interpretation of the news headlines released in the first few weeks of the Trump administration.
On the Making, is the third installation, which is a large multi-disciplinary sculpture combining found objects with painted panels by Mauricio Gonzalez.
You can view all three of these gems until April 15, with performances by Tamir and Zin daily between 3 and 6pm.
Across the street at Primary Projects Kelly Breez had a solo show encompassing the entire gallery titled Fuck It… (will set you free).
Fuck It (will set you free)
Breez did not hold back any punches exploring broad social themes with her raw and unifying style.
Tingy Thick performed and kept the attendees bouncing around to their sweet sounds.
Make it out to see Fuck It… before April 8, 2017.
