Summer festivals and concerts are huge in cities like Minneapolis or Chicago. These are places where locals wait with baited breath for the spring thaw to enjoy precious outdoor venues. In south Florida, where it feels like summer lasts the entire year, its the opposite. Here bands typically play indoors, and national acts avoid us like the plague. However, for the last couple of years we’ve been blessed by more bands that rarely or never make it this far down in our deadend part of the state. Earlier this month Tame Impala, Greta Van Fleet and Interpol played in one weekend, and the summer has more in store.
Here’s our summer show wish list of those we want to attend, or recommend. Check the links for ticket information.
