Womanmay flipped the latch on the gate and let us into the backyard sanctuary. We walked past the garden cared for together with partner Sam, a labor of love shared like that of the pairs’ cats. We traced Womanmay’s musical path, which began with a DJ father and artistic mother, who introduced the music of the Beatles and fostered an education in piano. These early influences would set the groundwork for learning guitar and much later the Cuatro, both instruments clearly mastered by this point. We discussed the forthcoming and untitled EP which will be released this month. Some of the new tunes will be incorporated into the second full length album, which will be recorded in France in the near future through Midnight Special Records. Please enjoy our conversation with Womanmay and stay tuned for the two tunes the artist blessed us with at the end of the podcast.
